Eastern Townships

Marc Hébert
Gîte du Cerf Argenté (Magog)

Ah the vastness of The Eastern Townships, its mountains, villages, forests and, of course, the most loved Memphré-Magog Lake area. There is much more to do there besides swimming and sailing on the lake. It all begins in early August with the Triathlon competition where thousands of people gather for this important event, a real treat for the eyes. Then on Labour Day weekend and the next one, its the Harvest Festival with its many products that includes wine, cheese, pâtés, etc., that's in Pointe Merry. And if that's your cup of tea, then you must go along the Route des vins, between Dunham and Kowansville, with its wine tasting and other goodies. One can't forget the St. Benedict Monastary with all its cheese, chocolates, etc.
